We’re lucky enough to have the North York Moors National Park literally on our doorstep, meaning there’s plenty of beautiful countryside for you and your pooch to explore. We are also very close to Dalby Forest where the long winding paths can provide endless exercise for even the most active pups. Exploring the fascinating Fen Bog nature reserve is another great outdoor activity for people and dogs.

Used for centuries as a royal hunting lodge, resort and breeding farm for medieval kings, it is a must-see attraction. Why not visit the Eden Camp Historical Museum? Housed in the buildings and grounds of an original WWII POW camp, a visit to this unique museum will transport you back to wartime England.

In just 30 minutes you can drive to the famous seaside towns of Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Filey and Scarborough for some fresh air and beach fun! And you know? North Bay Beach in Scarborough is a Blue Flag beach, which means it is one of the best beaches in Europe for clean sand and water, amenities and safety! Filey is a great beach for families, one of the top 6 beaches in the world for families! The Sculpture Trail circles the bay and is filled with attractive rock pools.

The Plow Inn, Wombleton – The Plow offers the best Yorkshire ales, fine wines and delicious food from a head chef and team who love fresh ingredients and locally sourced food. Well behaved dogs welcome!
Feast Deli & Café, Pickering is a quirky local cafe – a great place for a bite to eat and a coffee. We especially love their homemade burgers! Dogs are welcome.

Capplemans Fish & Chips, Pickering – You and your dog can enjoy a trip to Capplemans for a delicious fish lunch! Expect big portions, great fries and very happy tummies.
Olivia Rose from Yorkshire, Pickering – This village cafe serves delicious hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, pies and snacks. They also sell a variety of local handicrafts. Dogs are very welcome.

We normally allow a maximum of two dogs per property and there is a charge of £8 per dog per night.
