We travel full time and have been traveling for 7 years. Our plans for 2023 will take us camping in Europe in different countries.

Raphael Johnson and her husband Nate created 2 Traveler Dogs in 2011. They record a daily dog show, The Peanuts Adventures of rescue dogs Brickley and Digby Pancake as they travel across America to save America’s animals. With over a million followers on social media, they use their platforms to inspire others to adopt pets and live their best life together while traveling!

There are mountain range and ocean views while traveling in your RV in the Northeast! Big cities like New York, Boston, and Philadelphia also offer a slice of history and culture. This region really has it, but like every region we visited, Brickell and Digby were our favorite RV spots in the Northeast.

Eleven states make up the Northeast region of the United States, including Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The climate of the North East is different, with very cold winters. But being in the region in the summer makes for a great hike, and the colors of the fall leaves encourage you to get out with your dogs.

My favorite part of the trip is the food, and this area has Boston baked beans, wild blueberries, pudding, bread, grapes, and apples! Our dogs Brickle and Digby were definitely favorites! We would have shared blueberries in Maine!

You may have heard of the famous Bar Harbor in Maine. But have you ever heard of Bass Harbor? We can’t stop talking about the trip years after our visit. Bass Harbor, Maine, on the “back” side of Desert Island, is home to a large portion of Acadia National Park. It is located on the southwest side of the island. Our dog-friendly tour dates from Bass Harbor Campground to Bass Harbor Lighthouse! It is located on a farm to the southeast of the port. It is one of the most photographed and famous fires in the United States. We can still remember the sounds of water, tanks and birds. I felt so peaceful. After a day of picking wild blueberries and eating bread, this trip was perfect. Remember, Acadia National Park has over 100 miles of dog-friendly trails!

Cape Cod, Massachusetts is truly an experience. Cape Cod is an islet in the US state of Massachusetts. It’s a popular destination in the summer, but visiting in the off-season is a great way to beat the traffic. Beautiful villages, lighthouses, swimming pools, beaches and ocean beaches are a playground for you and your dog. We also enjoyed visiting the great town of Hyannis and looking at the boats. We were hoping to get ice cream on the dog friendly boat trip to Martha’s Vineyard! Not all dogs have sea legs, so be prepared! RV camping on Cape Cod gives you a great home base in many places in Massachusetts. You’ll have a choice of rustic or luxury resort options.

There’s only one way to get to this island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, and that’s by boat. Smith Island is located 12 miles off the coast of Crisfield, Maryland. Head to Crisfield and board one of the ferry boats that operate here. Your dog will love the wind on his fur on this 45-minute walk! However, Brickell was reluctant to make the trip. Every dog is different. Tell your dog that this island was first settled by Captain John Smith in 1608! There are no inhabitants here for more than 200 years, most of whom speak the original dialect. Take your time and see the simple way of life in all the streets of the island. Don’t forget to get the Maryland state cake, the Smith Island cake. Not many people or dogs can say they’ve been here long. It is truly an unforgettable adventure.

Good Acres Campground Nestled in the rural hills of northwestern New Jersey, Happy Park offers guests the chance to camp like a farm! Geirids and farm animals are just the beginning. Our dogs loved watching the farm animals and walking along the river. Additionally, dog-friendly hiking is only available at High Point State Park. The park is located in northern New Jersey and has the highest elevation in the state. You can see New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania from above! If you tire of country life, you’re just a short drive to the Big Apple. The best of both worlds is perfect for your cowboy boots.

Warwick, New York is known for its wineries, community farmers and the annual Applefest in October. Warwick is a dog-friendly destination for wanderers who want to get lost in nature.
