Some incredibly nice people let us house-sit for a week, and it was just what the vet ordered: rest, rest, no travel – mom’s vacation in reverse!
By the way, Florida is my speed: plenty of room to run around, no rules, no birds to taunt me, no guests to babysit—just me and the sand (and okay, a few thousand birds to scare).
We were there in the middle of November which can be cold at times. In the morning it was too cold and windy to walk outside, I did my favorite thing at home: sleeping.

And sometimes a girl needs a beer. We found one sweet brewery that dropped it: Grayton Brewing Company. The people who run it are super cool and bonus: the beer is really strong too!
How do I know? good Whereas my mother used to say I was too young to taste the pour — after all I am 52.5 dog years old! — Dad gave me a mouthful of his meat (so he (Obviously, my favorite dad). We loved it so much we even went back the next day to fill up our hole for the drive!
Paddleboards (I just let my parents borrow them) come down with us and spend the afternoon on these gentle waters. I think the water here is even calmer than my lake in Tennessee.

The people of Florida even thought enough to evacuate the state for a week to make sure we had it all. Floridians, you really are an indulgent bunch (to humans, that is).
Mom promises to close social networks for a week – a big failure; Speaking of which (shameless plug!) are you following my new Instagram, @BustedPuppy?! — and dad planned to read a lot of books. None of that happened, but I made sure they were focused on the important issue and that was it.
In fact, Florida beaches are my natural camouflage – who knew? (Well, I wish I had been brought to this magical place on the Gulf Coast sooner! Gorumph.)

Boston is well known for its outdoor festivals, both cultural and themed, such as the annual Dog Carnival, which is literally a festival for dogs!
Do you need to leave town? Give your pooch the cutest life jacket and board one of the many ferries to Providence Town, a very dog-friendly city. There are dog trails where Quigley took his first dip in the ocean.
For the more adorable dog-dad duo, P-Town offers a dog park with an art gallery. At your leisure, visit exotic restaurants and retail establishments, over 20 restaurants and countless shops that will be happy to welcome your pet.
If you are looking for fishing pages, visitors can find many options nearby. Nashoba Valley Winery is one of several orchards that allow dogs to come pick apples. Those who want to get lost in the colorful trees for a few hours (metaphorically) can visit one of the many nature reserves nearby, such as the Blue Hills.

New York City has it all – attractions, great food, parks, shopping and art are just a few features. Those who like to walk around the city and see the sights will be happy to hear that the streets of New York are dog friendly.
Take your camera and visit the best places in the city. Classic landmarks like thesda Terrace, Grand Central Station, the New York Public Library, and DUMBO (a pet-friendly neighborhood in Brooklyn) are just a few places where dogs can pose and explore. If your dog wants to spend time off-leash, New York City has plenty of dog parks.
A trip to New York wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the shops. Luckily, your dog can join you on the shopping spree! Jean from Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Rgdorf’s and Barneys, which allow well-behaved dogs on leashes, although you need to call ahead to confirm. If your dog is small and you want to take him, you can visit Macy’s in Herald Square and ride the original wooden escalator. Many boutiques are also dog-friendly, and some Nordstrom locations even keep personalized dog cookies on hand for the best canine shoppers.
New York is a foodie’s delight, especially fish! However, the city is very strict about allowing dogs in restaurants, with the exception of Bors & Horton’s, the first dog cafe in the city approved by the Department of Health! But fear not; There are plenty of foodie patio options throughout the city, and many restaurants and breweries allow pets.
